O-1 Visa

The O-1 visa is for individuals of extraordinary ability who wish to live and work in the United States.

 Eligibility

To qualify for an O-1 visa, applicants must demonstrate a high level of accomplishment and recognition in their field.  Evidence of achievement may include awards, publications, or the existence of a significant body of work.  The O-1 visa is employer-specific, and visa duration is granted for up to three years, with the possibility of extensions, depending on the duration of the project or on the position for which the applicant is hired.
